This unit supports the rest of the Institute departments, groups and units in the implementation and maintenance of IT hardware and software, providing application and service development and management services, and user training.
Technical support for research tasks focuses on maintaining the IT park of approximately 200 desktop and laptop computers running on Microsoft (W7 y W10), Mac and Linux operating systems, computers connected to laboratory instruments, servers located in institute DPC and corporative cloud.
The Information Technology Service Unit provides technical assistance for the installation of new computers, software and peripherals, and applies its expertise to incident solving. It also undertakes preventive tasks designed to minimize incidents.
