One of our most distinguished technological innovations is TESTACOR, a cutting-edge device patented by CSIC in 2022 for non-destructive measurement of reinforcement corrosion. Thanks to its multi-parameter sensor, TESTACOR enables quick, simple, and simultaneous measurement of three key corrosion indicators: corrosion potential (Ecorr), concrete resistivity (ρ), and corrosion rate (Vcorr). These indicators are essential for a quantitative assessment of the service life of structures.

The advantage of TESTACOR compared to other devices (including those developed by CSIC over the past three decades) is its ability to ensure that the polarisation induced during measurement remains within appropriate and non-damaging limits, providing exceptional reliability. This innovation is the result of years of experience and advancements in research carried out by the ISCMA group at IETcc-CSIC.
