The Training School TS3: Durability and service life of concrete structures in aggressive environments, will take place between the next 23-25 of May, in the frame of the ITN MSC-SMARTINCS: Self-healing-Multifunctional Advanced Repair Technologies in Cementitious Systems.
Topics involved
- Reinforced & concrete degradations as a direct consequence of ageing and reduction resistance to environmental impacts: Approach the different aggressive scenarios to which concrete structures are exposed, the consequences due to material damage degradation, and the loss of properties
- Extension of the service life of concrete structures: a major challenge to attempt to cut the maintenance cost: the loss of structural reliability and in consequence the service life questioned. How to evaluate and assess the damage in laboratory and on-site
- New functionalities (self-healing, self-sensing): Analyses of contribution to enhancing and assessing the performance in aggressive environments.
